Objective:
It’s a 3 years full time undergraduate course, affiliated to University of Mumbai.
With the growing use of Computers and Information Technology in our day to day life, it is necessary that we have the trained man power to manufacture, maintain and use the Computers as well as write the software required for the effective and efficient use of the computers and IT.
This course gives students necessary skills required to become IT professionals. The programme contents are Theory and Practical oriented. Students will have to exert more in order to grasp skill and concepts. The focus of the programme is IT and Management of IT.
Eligibility:
candidate for being eligible for admission to the Degree Course of Bachelor of Science - Information Technology shall have passed XII Standard Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with Mathematics as one of the subjects and should have secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in aggregate in case of Reserved category at one and the same sitting.
Or
Candidate who have passed Diploma in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/ Computer Technology/Electrical, Electronics and Allied branches. Mechanical and Allied branches. Civil and Allied branches of Engineering are eligible for admission to the Scond Year of the B.Sc.(I.T.) Degree Course. However, the Diploma should be recognised by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognised Government body. Minimum marks required 45% aggregate for Open Category candidates and 40% aggregate for Reserved Category candidates.
And
Students with post HSC - Diploma in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Technology will be eligible for direct admission to the Second Year of B.Sc.(I.T.). However, the Diploma should be recognised by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognized Government body.
