VPM’s R. Z. Shah College is situated at a serene location of Mulund East close to the eastern express highway, a silent zone with fresh and pollution free air. Just walking distance from the railway station. This gives us an ideal physical environment for the teaching learning process.
My philosophy of education is focused on the multidimensional character formation of my students. That is the actual purpose of education. It’s beyond getting University degrees or scoring high percentage in your exams. We try to provide you with hands on training in all the streams to create an industry ready talent pool. Employability and entrepreneurial skills are the right yardstick of the successful graduation. Versatility, ability to multitask, adaptability, realistic confidence and self-discipline are the characteristics of an ideal youth, as desired by any employer.
Extracurricular and co-curricular activities are equally important as class room learning. We try to train you in community living, social responsibility and team spirit.
We offer a wide range of add-on courses and bridge courses to quench the appetite of the curious learner in you. Join the right programme for you. Try to develop additional skills. The auditorium, gymkhana, Library and the College ground are always available for you. Make the best use of all the available facilities. Let us focus on what is available for us rather than thinking about what is not available! After your college hours do spend some quality time in the premises. Play a round of caroms or chess in our Auditorium/ gymkhana. Go to the ground with your shuttlecock racket. Don’t forget to watch the movie of the week in the library hall of Fridays.
Join nature club and go for trekking, nature photography and cultivate floral gardens. Our extension activities are to empower unemployed mothers and to make them financially independent. We offer you many opportunities of internships and part-time jobs. Grab it and be self -sufficient. Earn your fees.
Join NSS either as a volunteer or as a supporter. Join our school of drama, Zumba classes or folk fitness center. Fit Campus Do you have any other idea to be implemented in our college? Do come with your proposal. I am always available for you. Don’t ignore the class room lectures, remember a minimum of 75% attendance qualifies you as the bonafide student. Multi-tasking is the key to success in the current time.
Further, you are not permitted to use mobile phones in the class rooms, library and in labs. However there is no restriction in the use of mobiles in corridors and common areas.
Visit this website, teach Us, our FB page regularly for information and notices. We offer financial assistance to the needy students. Contact your class teacher for details. No to plastic. Do not carry, use or promote plastic in the campus. Help us to keep the campus neat and clean. Keep washrooms clean - Clean Campus! My dream is to set up a campus where students, parents, teachers, administration and the management think and work in tandem to create healthy and vibrant youths for the Nation.
